Working within the approved brand guidelines of each partnering university, the artist creates a distinct interpretation that respects collegiate identity while remaining true to her artistic expression.
Our goal is to cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with universities and colleges, promoting a culture of giving back. These luxury pieces are made to order, not mass-produced, and tell a visual story of multi-generational history and tradition, serving as a reminder of the essence of the American college experience.

CUSTOM COLLECTION

The Custom Collection begins with something personal to you. A place that holds a memory, a university or team that has been part of your family for generations, or something meaningful that you want to preserve or give to someone you love.
Clients come to us with the story and inspiration, and from there, an original artwork is created from the ground up. Through photography, hand-painted detail and artistic interpretation, something deeply personal is transformed into a piece designed to hold that connection for years to come.
Every custom piece begins differently, because every story behind it is different. Custom artwork is available by request.
ARTWORK DETAILS
Each artwork begins with the artist’s original photography, transformed through layers of hand-painted detail and artistic manipulation. Within the Collegiate Collection, the process requires a careful balance: respecting the approved brand guidelines of each partnering university while allowing the artist’s interpretation and expression to remain at the heart of the work. The result is a distinctive approach to collegiate art, one that honours each university’s identity while giving the artist room to create something entirely original.
The finished artwork is set behind acrylic glass, bringing depth, luminosity and dimension to the photography and painted detail. Subtle brushwork, texture and nuances within the work reveal themselves differently as the light changes — qualities that cannot be fully experienced online.
Produced in Europe using high-quality materials and craftsmanship, each piece is made to order and designed to last a lifetime. The artwork is created to carry more than visual impact. THE SIZING
Our Collegiate Collection is offered in six sizes, including a smaller option designed for more compact spaces. From dorm rooms and first apartments to family homes, the range allows each piece to grow with the person and the memories it represents.
The Home Collection is offered in five sizes, intentionally beginning at a larger scale. Designed to live as part of an interior, these works are meant to hold presence on the wall and bring depth, color, and character into a space. The larger proportions allow the artwork to feel substantial without overpowering the room, whether displayed as a statement piece or layered into an existing collection.
The Swedish Names & Their Meaning
AXIS founder and artist Cathrine White grew up in Sweden, and the names of the different sizes of her artwork are a playful nod to that part of her life.
They are also a subtle tribute to the family's personal connection to Ingvar Kamprad, founder of the global brand IKEA. Kamprad famously built a Swedish naming system into IKEA's identity, giving products distinctive Scandinavian names rather than conventional product numbers.
Cathrine carried a little of that spirit into Axis and it's soul identity.
