AXIS HATS NEW YORK & CLC
AXIS has an exclusive partnership with the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC). If your school is registered with CLC, please contact your representative and have them reach out to Tim Klaasen directly. He is the initial point person for all CLC colleges and Universities. AXIS is currently only considering schools that fall under the CLC umbrella or administer their own in-house licensing program.
A brief history: CLC is the nation's leading collegiate trademark licensing and marketing agency.
The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) was founded in 1981 by Bill Battle after he signed legendary coach Paul “Bear” Bryant to a licensing agreement. In the process of developing a licensing program for Coach Bryant, Battle discovered that The University of Alabama did not have a licensing program. Alabama soon signed on as the first university client. CLC is uniquely positioned to deliver consumer connections and brand visibility for collegiate institutions. CLC prides themselves in strengthening the relationships between the schools and the fan base and doing so while protecting the school’s brand. Usage of any college trademark, logos and branding without permission from CLC or the schools in-house licensing departments, is strictly forbidden!
